Youtube goes widescreen

It has been almost 2 weeks that youtube has a wider screen. You guys must have noticed it. I'm not sure whether it is a good thing or not but I kinda like the change. Bigger screen means better viewing experience.

Here's a quote about the change from their blog:

"We're expanding the width of the page to 960 pixels to better reflect the quality of the videos you create and the screens that you use to watch them. This new, wider player is in a widescreen aspect ratio which we hope will provide you with a cleaner, more powerful viewing experience. And don't worry, your 4:3 aspect ratio videos will play just fine in this new player."

I guess I'm going to be more and more addicted to youtube. It has improved greatly in the past year. More and more applications are added e.g. annotations, captions, view high quality video etc. I just realised just now, there's a new application added which I think very very useful. They have added a search engine to videos embedded on other sites for example blogs. It'll list the searched video and we can view the searched video using the same screen. The search engine is a simple one but good enough for us who are lazy to go to the actual youtube site. Have a try.

By the way, this is one of my favourite songs from DBSK/TVXQ/Tohoshinki. A beautiful song and great vocal and passion from them. One of the best live performances they have ever done. It's called Love In The Ice. This is the Japanese version. They've recorded a korean version as well and is included in their latest album, Mirotic. Watch it.. hehe.. Just to promote them. They are my favourite korean group right now.

I guess that's the reason why there were loads of lighted candles last night at the CS Night, a farewell gathering for the first batch of the BSc Computer Science Programme graduates. Congratulations my friends. It was a really fun night. Met the lecturers and the new CS students there. There were games and prizes to be won. I got myself a 5-pack instant noodles. It's been a long time I haven't eaten an instant noodle. hmm... well I ate one just now. Makin mahal udah mee segera masani. So malas kn membali.. hehe..

By the way, can't wait for tomorrow. It's Fau's Paspot 2 Fame aka P2F performance. She got through to the 3rd concert. Looking forward to her performance. She'll be singing Tiada Lagi. I always say "Tonight I'm going to update my blog". Sekali... I ended up not updating my blog. I guess I'm not really good at updating my blog though I always have something that I want to say. Malas.. hehe..

Well, nothing much happening in my life. Still job hunting. I got few unsuccessful interviews. Bummer.. I even tried applying for online job. Hehe.. But right now, I'm learning something. Got some notes online. I'm happy even though I don't have any job. Hopefully, I get a job sooner.

By the way, congrats again to my friend Fau for going through to the next P2F concert which is this Saturday. I hope she will sing as good as she did at the first concert. Congrats to Fau for advancing to the next round of the P2F. Went to RTB with Afrah and Leah on Saturday. I'm so proud of Fau. She did a good job even though there were some problems in the middle of the song. I hope she'd do better in the next round. We'll always be supporting you. Just remember us when you become famous nanti. Hehe..

My current obsession right now is DBSK's new song Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimatta Darou or in English Why Did I Fall In Love With You?. Love the melody and lyric.. Have a listen..

Just had an job interview just now. It was ok. Basic questions. I hope I get the job soon because I really need the money and fill my unproductive-jalan2 time.

Light festival and Paintball

On Friday night, I went to the International Festival Of Light around Glasgow city. It was fun. All the exhibitions are scattered around the city. It was like a treasure hunt. Finding the exhibitions using maps given to us. Some of the exhibits were beautiful. One in particular is the Fibre Optic Dress. It was beautiful and scary a little bit because it was like a headless lady is flying..

Yesterday, most of the Bruneians went to play paintball. It was reallllllyyyy fun. It was much much better than the last time we played. Though it was a little bit expensive but it was worth our money. There were six different sites that we played and all of them were equally amazing. It was like we were in a real war area.. barrels, pyramid, buses, huts etc. The most exciting thing is that my team won.. wohooo... and we received a certificate for that. Haha...

Yesterday I started my part-time job as a cleaning operative. I have to clean meeting rooms, offices, toilet and the floor in one of the buildings near my halls. It was tiring on the first day. Did some mistakes. Hehe.. Got my uniform also. My second day is okay. I learned how to buff the floor. It was fun though I didn't really know how to use the buffer. Now I've mastered how to use the machine.

I just bought Leona Lewis's album.. Yeayy.. The album's called Spirit. I've been her biggest fan since she entered X Factor which she won. She's one of the most talented singer I've ever known. I've been waiting for her album for weeks already and it has come out just yesterday. Really like her album a lot. There are so many great songs that you should listen to especially Bleeding Love, The Best You Never Had, Take A Bow and I Will Be.

I just got myself a bike. I bought it from my friend because he wanted to buy a new bike. I'm not sure why I wanted to buy it from him. I don't think I'm going to use to go to lectures because my lectures are not very far but I think I'm going to use it to travel around (mengembara places that I've never gone to) and also buying groceries.

Harddisk ku rusak!!!!

My hard disk has reached its limit already.. :( When I heard it made a 'clicking' sound, I 'force' switched it off . After that when I tried to switch it on, the screen was just blank. It has been making the sound since last year.. Aiya.. Good thing I have backed up some of my important files especially my pictures and my documents. And lucky me that I have an extra external harddisk to replace the old one but I need to install some stuffs to my new harddisk. By the way, I'm using the university's computer.

I went to the city to buy my groceries when I saw lots of people were staring at Superdrug Superstore.. Being busy body at that moment, I looked at what they were all looking at. It was Jordon's (Katie Price) poster. It says that she would be there to promote her fragrance (I think..).. She would be arriving in 1 hour. So wanted to see her, I waited inside the store because there were a lot of people outside and I thought I wouldn't have a better of her if I see her from outside. So I waited for one hour plus just looking around in the store. Its really hard to actually see celebrities so worth wasting one hour looking around the store just to see a celebrity.. Hehe..

I guess I have been hibernating from blogging for so long already. I guess it's time to update. There's so many things in the past few weeks. Hari Raya and birthdaycelebrations, bowling day out and movies. I guess I enjoy life terribly. I guess I need to start focusing on my study now. I've got two projects to do now. One of them is trying to create a Viterbi decoder which I have never heard before. Need to do my research now.

By the way, my pictures were in the Borneo Bulletin and www.brunei-online.com few weeks ago. It was the pictures when we had a sungkai with the teachers from Brunei Student Unit, London. Just about a week ago, a friend of mine gave me a link to a site that has my picture in it. Check this site. It shows a picture of me and my friends ice skating. Its a official site to promote Glasgow during winter. There's also the same picture featured in its pamphlet. Hehe.. famous tia ku.. Back in Scotland and back to studying.. Just chosen a list of projects that I could be doing this and next semester. Hope I'll do it well.

Now back here I realise that there are more Asians coming to University of Strathclyde. Great!! Now we can make a colony of Asians or even a Asian town. Most of the asians are Chinese. There are a lot of Malaysians as well. Even more Bruneians are coming here besides doing Computer Science.

Later, we'll be meeting the Brunei Student Unit from London. They'll arrive in the afternoon. We, together with students from other universities in Scotland, will be having our sungkai and the collection of zakat. I hope the event that we're organising will be successful.

Right now I'm at ICTC. Don't know what to do and don't know what to write (Afrah suruh buat cani... hehe..). My life is pretty boring right now. Not much to do. So not much to write. Later I'm going out with the girls.. lunch out.. Lama udah nda jua bisdurang..

By the way, kalau makan buah bisai2 sikit. You never know you might encounter ulat buah. It happened to me. That time I wasn't wearing my contact lenses and glasses. Just before I put the durian inside my mouth. I felt something different. Something not so 'durian-feel'. Then I saw the ulat.. Thank God I haven't put it in my mouth. Lau nda.. Moral of the story, wear glasses or contact lense (if you suffer from short-sightness) before eating fruits. Hehe.. nadabah.. check before eating.

It has been over a month already that I haven't posted a 'real' entry. The reason behind this particularly because of my laptop. My laptop is having a 'vacation' in Taiwan. Apparently, she is trying to find a new 'mother'. Haha.. nadabah.. The motherboard has reached its limit. So gotta change into a new one. Malas kn membali yang baru. Nda berusin nyamu. The price for buying a new motherboard and its travelling expenses costs me $450. Aiya.. There go my $450. Sayang usinku. Lau nda dapat ku k Singapura holiday..

By the way, I'm back in Brunei already. Lambat.. bangas udah.. In a month plus I'll be going back to Scotland. Can't wait for the new semester. I can't wait to start studying again(Not!!) because I'm so bored doing nothing berfaedah.. If I knew it would be this boring I could've gotten myself a part time job. Ani dah terlambat. Yeah... Yeah... Yeah... abis exam.. I'm so exhausted right now. Just after the exam Om came over to visit my place. Showed her around few places in Scotland. Some places where I have never been before. We went to Edinburgh Castle and Linlithgow Palace. Really like the places especially the palace. The scenery outside of the palace was so beautiful. Maybe next time I'll go there again.

Right now I'm in London. Staying in Brunei Hall before going to Venice and Berlin. I'm not sure why I'm not really enthusiastic about going to Venice and Berlin. Maybe because of just finished the exam and feel really exhausted. And also maybe I can't wait to go back Brunei. I miss McDonald, Ayamku, Ideal.. Lapar ku..

Guess what I found imprinted on my contact lenses. Its a number 3. Hehe didn't know that something is printed on it. I was washing my lenses when I thought there was dirt on it. Just read Iskiness's blog just now. I was actually interested in the topic "The Aliuddin Curse". Self-promotion I guess.. but that's good.. Doing something for your sisters and yourself. The post is actually about not getting married at 30+ years old sister. For further information, go to her blog (promoting her.. hehe..)..

Do you know that Brunei has some sort of dating agencies? I was actually surprised by the information that one of the people who commented on Iskiness's post. There is actually one. Look at this site. Read the rules and regulations of the registration. It is run by Jabatan Pembangunan Masyarakat. I am not sure whether this matching agency is publicly advertised because I have not heard about it before. And also, I am not sure whether the successful rate of the matching is high but I think people who are looking for a partner should give it a try. There are other alternatives to find a partner... maybe let your family find you one (which some might think old-fashioned), or maybe promote yourself through online for example blogging, or joining sites like friendster, myspace, hi5, facebook etc. But these sites will connect you not only Bruneians but people from around the world. Who knows while promoting yourself and making new friends, you might find yourself a parter..

It may be hard for some people to get a partner but I believe in there's always someone for everyone. Its just that you don't know when you will have one. You might not know you will meet him/her through your friends, accident, at the beach or shopping complexes. Believe in yourself and patience are very important..

Nasi Lemak party!!

We cooked nasi lemak yesterday.. Then, had a "small" nasi lemak "party". We called all our friends.. Then, we watched AF concert week 3. It has been a very long time since we watch TV together with all the seniors. It was really fun. Lots of comments on all the AF students.. The songs were really nice but the performances were so-so. My favourite is Mila's Melukut Di Tepi Gantang.. Like her voice... Tonight, maybe we'll watch week 4's concert..

Easter break!! Yeay.. A week already.. Went alone to Birmingham to visit a friend. First time traveling alone. Great experience.. Very nice place. So many attractions and shopping complexes.. Did a little bit of shopping over there. Took lots of pictures.. Went to the Cadbury World.. Nice place. Its like in the movie Charlie and The Chocolate factory but less exaggeration..

Just to drop by and post something. Been busy this past week because of courseworks and assignments. Most due next week.. Oh ya.. my program is working now.. yeay(kata ku dengan senang hati).. haha. There are some modifications needed to be done. It's still a prototype. Hope I'll finish it on time because I haven't started on my report yet. Here's a screenshot of my project.

By the way, I'm doing a e-learning program for primay students to practice Mathematics, in this case, the topic is fraction. I know this may look amateurish but I hope I can do/design better. Any constructive comments(on the interface) are mostly welcome. Maybe if I have time I'll embed this program on the web. Then you guys can have a try..

A little explanation on my program, the introduction page is like the home page of the program. It'll explain what fraction is and how addition, multiplication, subraction and division work etc.. The questions are taken from a database that I created. Students answer the question by typing in the answer in the boxes provided. Then the program will respond by comparing the students' answer with the the answer from the database and will tell the student whether they have answered correctly or not. There are also buttons for the student to skip questions and also go to the previous question.

4. Collecting ice cream sticks.. You know.. the 20-50 cents ice cream with the sticks. I have it at home. I haven't counted it yet.

5. Some people thought that my brother is younger than me. His friends told him that I am older than him. That's strange because I think I look younger than him..

My friends and I went to Braehead just now because we never been there before. A very nice place. I like the shopping complex. Not that it's big(it is big.. apakan.. I mean compared to Buchanan Galleries), there are so many big shops centralised in one building which is good. Not that crowded compared to in in the city.. A little tired from the trip but it was worth going.

Oh ya went to Xscape as well. We played pool there. Long time since I last played it. When was it? Before going to Scotland. So many games indoor games there like bowling, snow-skiing, rock-climbing, abseiling, arcade, circus-football etc.. Talking about football, guess who we met just now at Xscape? Its Kevin Keegan. Do you him? What? Hehe apakan.. he used to be England football coach. We were going down the stairs when he walked up and said hi to us(friendly.. since he doesn't know us). I was like.. I don't know.. awed.. I mean it's England's former coach. Somebody famous. So we took pictures with him and he said that he's been to Brunei and played with/against(I'm not sure) one of Brunei's football team some times ago. Lucky day for us. I'm not sure what he is doing right now.. Well, nanti tah google..

Yesterday was a tiring day but fun and refreshing. Just wanted to keep myself busy or released tension from the exam. Played footsal. Batah dah nda main and also I didn't warm up before playing. So.. biasalah.. sore.. sakit blakang ku.. Then went home and masak ikan goreng(my first time frying a fish.. before this we only eat chicken).. baru terjumpa asam tuk ikan. Menjadi.. then went to the cinema to watch movie. Two movies in a row. "Perfume: the scent of a murderer" and "Smokin' Aces". Good movies. Must watch especially Perfume(in the end he let himself get eaten by the poor) but there's a lot of nudity especially at the end of the movie. Watch for yourself.. ngalih.. I don't know how many times I watch two movies in a row.. Maybe next time I'll try three movies.. bular mata tu eh.. since I got the unlimited card.. I can watch whenever, whatever and any number of movies we want.. Siuk.. Lau ada di Brunei wah.. abis abis..

Tomorrow.. we're going to start our new semester. Got to put a little bit more effort and focus to my studies. I didn't want to end up like last semester. Did assignments last minute, dreaming in the lectures, missed some lectures(due to assignments) and most of all MALAS. I hope I can do it. Pen Merah.. Pen Biru.. U..?

Just finished my exam just now. Overall, I think I did just a little bit okay. Didn't expect I would score well because I didn't prepare and revise that well. Well, I deserved it. Do better next time.. no.. prepare banar-banar..

After the exam just now, after changing to our cara melayu, we went to our friend's house to have a 'majlis menyambut tahun baru Hijrah' there. It took us about more than half an hour just to find a six-seater taxi. Ngalih2 berlari2 rupa2nya taxi stop nda jauh dari our place.. Hehe.. so we were late for the majlis.

After the majlis, guess what we did? Haha.. Play poker.. you know like the casino royale style.. haha.. you know yang ada betting atu but we didn't use money. Apakan.. just after the majlis, play poker.. Bad combination. It wasn't that hard to learn. I did pretty good just now but still need to learn skill like bluffing because I'm not good at it. Few weeks ago I learnt how to play mahjong. Haha.. apakan jadi ni aku ani. But we didn't bet.. bahapa kan pakai duit. It is actually a fun game compared to 'big two' like we usually play during free time. At least, there are more games to play. Now, I'm trying to learn how to play guitar and play winning 11. Just learnt playing guitar two weeks ago. I now know A, C, A minor and C minor. Hehe.. A little bit sumbang plang. It's okay. I'll get better with more practice.

Oh ya few days ago, there was snow. I actually touched it (Apakan sakai..). Hehe. It was only for 2-3 hours and not that heavy but enough for me to actually feel the snowy environment. Before this, we only had hail stones. So.. "I feel good.." haha..

Oh no!!! Exam is about to start and guess what?? Haha.. As usual, not prepared. Pemalas. Well.. lets not say about that. Just want to make a quick update:

- Leona won the X-factor. Yeah... She was really great. Love the song when she sang it with Take That. Check her performance in youtube.

- My birthday.. Thanks for all the wishes. 22 years old.. Can't believe it. I better act like an adult.. Haha not that I'm childish. It's just I feel that I have to think like an adult. No more main-main.. Have to set and focus on my goals in life.

- Barcelona.. mmm... it was fun except for few very unfortunate incidents. Visited few places.. Barcelona stadium, Temple Sagrada Familia, Mirador De Colom, Park Guell etc.. Didn't do much shopping. Met few fellow Bruneians there.

I've been following X Factor UK version for the past few weeks. I really like the show. Now, there are only three contestants left, Leona(my fav), Ray and Ben. The McDonald Brothers was voted off last yesterday. As usual Leona nailed it yesterday. Excellent voice and performance . But my personal favourite for yesterday's perfomance is by Ray. I entered English (Report Writing Skills) class jsut now. Not a compulsary subject. Just want to improve my report writing skills because I know I am terrible at it. There were only eight of us. Two Germans, two Chinese and four Bruneian(Green Girl, Ching Lee, Has_ayono and I). Well, I think the class was fun and fairly easy. Nothing that I do not really know. Basically, everything we have learnt before. So.. how do we improve our writing skill? Well, according to him, we have to read and write(ignoring whether we make mistakes) a lot.. Well, I don't think I can do that. Hehe.. Malas bah.. but maybe writing and posting to this blog might help.

Yesterday, we went to our senior's place at Glasgow for our first BruScot gathering and meeting. BruScot, I think, is a society of all Bruneian students studying in Scotland. There are currently around 40 Bruneians studying here. The gathering went well. Only a few did not turn up. We had our sungkai, sembahyang jemaah Maghrib, 'Isya, terawikh and Witir. The gathering also meant to elect some students for some of the vacant posts. The result: Nuai is the new the vice president of BruScot and Has_ayono got the new assistant event coordinator post. Congratulations...

Happy Fasting everyone!!! I did not realise that we've fasting half a month already. Miss all the food that I usually eat during sungkai.. Miss eating together with my family.. Miss my friends..

Watched World Trade Center yesterday. Overall I'd have to say it's really boring. Not as I expected. I thought there would be so much action. Brunei vs Scotland

Obvious fact, Scotland is colder than Brunei.. hehe.
Scottish girls are sexier than Bruneian.. hehe. I mean even with the cold weather, they still wear miniskirts.
Brunei has ambuyat while Scotland doesn't..
In term of cleanliness, I'd say Brunei and Scotland are the same. Some places are dirty here eventhough there are a lot of rubbish bins. Its everywhere.
In Scotland, students in the class are very discipline. You can hardly hear people talking in the lecture. I think its either they are very tentative or their minds are wondering around. If its in Brunei, usually only when the teachers ask the students to keep quiet then they would sit quietly.. but after a few minutes, the students would start making the noise.
Scottish walk faster than Bruneian. I thought I would be as fast as them(because I usually walk faster than my friends) but I was wrong. Even the girls walk faster than me. At first, I thought maybe its because of their long legs. Again I was wrong because when I tried walking beside a Scottish girl, who is almost the same height as me, still she walks faster.. so in conclusion, Scottish walk faster than Bruneian.
Brunei and Scotland has their own very cheap shops. Here in Scotland, there's shops that sell goods and food for only 1 pound while in Brunei it has shops that sell things for 1.30dollars.
Lastly, grapes are cheaper in Scotland than in Brunei... Haha.. there's a part of Scotland called Barras that sells 2 bags of grapes for 1 pound only.

Finally... I'm in Scotland. Missing you guys in Brunei especially my family and my friends.. Its cold right now eventhough the sun is shining. Made a couple of new friends from Scotland, Malaysia, USA, Egypt, Pakistan and India. Gotta make some more friends. Food... I miss martabak.. ambuyat.. Its really hard to 'food' here.. I have to blame myself for being so choosy. But nevermind as long as I survive. I lost my weight since I arrived in Scotland. Its not because of the food but because of the too much walking. We've been walking around the city and to our lectures almost everyday. So its a good way to lose weight. So if you want to lose weight, come to Scotland. Haha..

Oh ya.. The guys went to Glasgow to play futsal with the Engineering students two days ago. I think my team lost. Hehe.. I couldn't remember the final score. The number of goals was countless. It was really fun eventhough it was tiring and we were fasting. Something funny happened that day. There were two Pakistani boys around 12 or less years old approaching Mas. One of them asked her whether she would go out with either of them. Haha.. She was really surprised. And of course she said no.. She's married.. Thank God her husband didn't get mad.. Laku jua kdia ani walaupun kawin dah..

Another hectic week for me. .

Had an interview at the Ministry Of Education(MOE). It turned out to be okay. I was really afraid before that. I always thought I couldn't make it. Some of the questions asked were: our national flag, traditional food, places of interest in Brunei, names of the design of our local sinjang etc.
Went to the appreciation dinner for all volunteers for the 23rd East Asian Insurance Congress at one of the restaurants in Rimba. Another one of my wildest night. They had a disco again. Danced like crazy.. though I wasn't feeling really well.
Had another appointment with the hospital(a final one). I am fit. I just discovered that my blood type is O+ve.
Went to the Robotech 2006 held in Pusat Tingkatan Enam, Berkas. I became the chief volunteer and also one of the judges. My job was collecting results from all the competition tracks and supervising my other volunteers. I was also asked to be the judge for best engineering and artistic design for formula 1 and 2's micromouses. I was actually surprised when I was asked to do it. I mean I don't really have the qualification(except for artistic design). But the good thing was I wasn't the only one who judge those catergories. There were other lecturers. The event was held for two days.
Completing some of the forms for the scholarship. Some of the things that I still have to do: wait for the interview result, wait for my acceptence letter from UK, apply a visa, open an international account and pay 100 pounds deposit for our accomodation in Strathclye.

Volunteer for the 23rd East Asian Insurance Congress(EAIC). I was the sponsor Liasion Officer. It was really tiring. I was assigned to Munich Re. Siuk jualah...

Went to the Bazz(a disko) in Empire Hotel after EAIC's closing ceremony. I think it was my wildest and craziest night of my life. Went home very late.

Medical check for our scholarship.

Escaped some of my lectures on the first day of our semester.

Went to watch The House just now with a couple of my friends at the Empire Theatre. Only us that watched the movie. We talked and laughed most of the time. So it was like watching movie in a house.

World Cup 2006

On noo... England and Brazil lost in their quarterfinal matches. What's going on with the English team? They're supposed to be the better team because the Portugese were without their influential players, Deco and Constinha. I have to admit that, overall, the Portugese deserve to go to the next round because they were the better team from the beginning. I am so dissapointed with the English team. But I have to give them credit for holding Portugal till the penalty shoot out after Wayne Rooney was sent off and David Beckham had an injury in the second half. I think England played better without Rooney when he was sent off. I also think all the English players did not play a very good game. They had so many missed passes. Their passes seemed to end up at the Portugese team. Their tactic making only one striker did not go that well. But I think the best players on the English team would be Owen Hargreaves and Aaron Lennon. Owen was impressive in halting the Portugese attack while Lennon, after replacing Beckham, helped greatly in England's attacks. Their midfielders like Frank Lampard and Steven Gerard, and striker Rooney and especially Peter Crouch did not contribute much.. Anyway congrats to Portugal. You deserve it.. To England do better next time. I will always support you.

I didn't watch the match between Brazil and France because I was really accidently overslept after the England's game. I thought I could wake up when the match started. Well, I couldn't. But I don't want to watch the replay because I know the result already. And I don't want to add more pain of seeing Brazil, being both number one in the FIFA world ranking and seed in World Cup 2006, dumped out of the World Cup.

The semifinals matches will be Germany vs Italy and Portugal vs France. And obviously I hope that Italy, my only hope, will win the match and finally win the World Cup. Go Italy. Now I will some more needed rest because the semifinal will start on Wednesday.

Venus Williams lost again.. No.. Andre Agassi, playing his last game before he retires, and Andy Roddick also lost. But I still one more hope left. Hope Rafael Nadal wins his next match and finally win the Wimbledon Open.

World Cup 2006

Brazil won 3-0 against Ghana.. Woohooo!!! And Ronaldo scored again. Now he is the world's top scorer of all time beating Gerd Muller of West Germany. The other game was won by Ukraine through penalty. Now, all the spots of the quarterfinal matches have been decided with Germany vs Argentina, England vs Portugal, Brazil vs France and Italy vs Ukraine. Next match will be tomorrow night. Germany against Argentina. Tonight, will get some good sleep. Preparing for tomorrow. I hope Brazil, England and Italy will go through to the semi-final..

Wimbledon Open

Wimbledon Open has started and now in its second round. Nothing much to say because didn't really following the open. I was busy with world cup. But I hope Rafael Nadal will win for the men's category and Venus William for the women's.

Adult vcd for RM$15???

Went to Miri yesterday to accompany my father. Bought new headphone. This is the third one. The others were rusak dah. Hehe.. ganas. There was something that I never see before. Well, went to one of the cd shops there and I came across folders that say adult movie.. Hehe. Being so curious(haha.. really?), I glanced around to check if there's people nearby. Line was clear except the sales girl. But what the heck. So flipped one of the folders. Yes, there were adult movies. A lot of them.. Dvds are sold for RM$25 and vcds for RM$15. So I was thinking I still have around RM$50. Enough... I might as well.. Haha.. Of course, I didn't buy it.. Karang..? I always thought adult movies are sold discreetly. But this one displayed at one of the racks with the other movies.. I also thought if you want to buy one, just ask the sales person, then, they will tell you if they have one.

On the way home, I almost had an accident with an ambulance. I was driving when the ambulance was overtaking a pickup from the opposite direction. It was so sudden. The ambulance was really fast. Good thing I braked so fast. If not.. Na'uzubillah..

World Cup 2006 Germany!!!

Hi guys!! It's the World Cup season. Right now, it came to the second round with so much drama. Red cards, upsets and injuries.. I don't really know what to write, my mind is working so well. I think it's because of the lack of sleeping. Too much world cup. I just want to update whatever stuffs that has happened during the world cup.

- Ronaldo equals Gerd Muller's record for the all-time top scorer in the world cup. Now he has scored 14 goals in 3 world cups.
- The highest number of cards being shown in a match with 20 cards altogether(16 yellow cards and 4 red cards).
- David Beckham is the only player from England who has scored in three different world cups. There are in 1998, 2002 and 2006.
- Switzerland is the only country in the world cup 2006 that has not conceeded a goal.
- Ghana, have reached the second round of the world cup, their first.
- There are more goals scored than the last world cup.
- Italy scored a very very last minute(few seconds before the whistle being blown) goal against Australia to reach the quarterfinal. The goal was scored by Totti after Italy were rewarded a penalty.

Well, today is the first day of the Science and Technology Week. I went there just now. Not many people came to the event. This is my first time going there. I didn't go last year. Oh yeah, I didn't expect my English Dictionary program would be displayed in our department booth. But the program was not working properly so I had do some modifying to make it work and it worked.. Hehe.. There are other programs that my friends created that are displayed. Venus, mastermind and I solved a "Sudoko" puzzle. Since we solved it together, the comittee had to choose between us because there was only one prize. Well, guess what? I got it. Hehe.. Lucky.

Enough of that. Few days ago, I came across one article in the Borneo Bulletin that definitely shocking. It was about sex with children. Here is the article,

Among other things, the party said everbody should allowed to go naked in public and promotes legalising all soft and hard drugs and free train travel for all.

I'm bored.. What should I do? I have no work.. My life right now is boring.. All I do for the past few days was watching a drama series that my friend lend me.. I was actually, how should I say it, offended? shocked? to see some of the scenes.. It's the scene that show young boys' genitals. I mean the drama shows scenes where the boys were taking showers naked. It's just that it can be considered as child pornography(I think..). Even though they are children. It is still wrong because the director is using them and taking advantage of the children's lack of knowledge of the issue of pornography, how would they feel if when they grow up and seeing that they had acted in a drama naked? Definitely, they would be ashamed.. I feel sorry for the children.. If me, I would definitely be vey ashamed and angry with the person who asked me to act naked..

Hi everyone!! Very long time that I haven't posted anything here.. I've been really busy with assignments, projects and exam. Now my semester is done, I'm a free man now. No more assignments and projects to be done. No more exams to worry except I have to worry about my exam result.. Aahhh... it was terrible.. I know I could do the exam well because the papers were not that hard.. I don't really know why I could not do it.. One good reason that I can think of is because I was not really prepared for it. Everytime I tried to revise my work, I fell asleep.. I could not help myself.. I think it is because I used up all my energy doing my project. For few weeks I did not get enough sleep. All I did was my projects.. But it's over now. Now. I'm trying to find a job just to occupy my free time but not sure what job that I want to take.. I was thinking as a tuition teacher.. but I'm not sure whether I good enough to teach because I've never taught anyone before except for my little sisters.. Well, one thing for sure they like the way I teach them.. Why not I give it a try..

These two songs are my first favourite songs (English and Malay) and still my favourite. I'm not sure why I still like these songs. For Purnama Merindu, it is because this is the first song that I like from my favourite singer, Siti Nurhaliza while for Right Here Waiting, I like it because this is the first English song that I understand the lyric (My English was really bad that time). The lyric is easy to understand and melodic and it also touches my heart. Right now my favourite song is by Celine Dion and Il Divo. It's called 'I Believe In You'. You should also listen to this song. It's really beautiful.

Lets start the post with a smile on our face. It's really a funny and a little bit disgusting story. It's taken from Sarawak Tribune.

Three drunkards were walking down the street when they came upon a pile of manure where they stopped. The first drunkard, upon observation of the manure said to the other two, "Looks like it...". The second, bending over it and sniffing, said to the other two, "smells like it...". Then the third, sticking his finger in it, said, "feels like it...". "Good thing we didn't step in it", they all agreed as they turned and walked away.

Haha.. The third guy was really stupid. I think he was way too drunk. Stepping on it is much better than touching it. I want to change the story a bit. Instead of just sticking in it, he stuck his finger in it, then put in his mouth and said, "taste like it..." haha.. That would be very disgusting. Yuck! The moral of the story is do not go places where there are droppings, manure or dumping area..

BEWARE!!!

To all men, beware of using the toilets in the capital. This information I got from our newspaper few days ago. Before you do your business(you know what I mean), check whether there is closed-circuit television(CCTV) installed nearby. The CCTV is inside the men's toilet on the ceiling on top of the urine bowls. They operators said that the CCTV was installed after cases of drug addicts doing their stuff there. With CCTV, they thought that it would scare the drug addicts away. I feel that even though their intention is good, it still violates our privacy. The CCTV might be misused. I can't stand other people seeing me urinating. By the way, I don't really like using the bowls because I feel that someone is looking at my *****. So guys, Beware! Lots of people have been complaining about this. I'm not really sure whether the CCTV has been dismantled or not. Hope it has..

Oh ya tomorrow and on Sunday, there will be an UBD Open at the Chancellor Hall. I don't really know what time it starts but I was asked to go there at 8am to have a little briefing. I know that I have said that I won't be participating in any activities or events that UBD hold this semester, but I can't stand it. I feel that I lost a part of me because I am not doing something that I like to do. That is, working. I don't know.. I hope this would be my last...

It has been a few days that I have not posted anything in my blog. The last post received a great response from you guys. Thank you, I really appreciate all your comments but I'm not really sure whether I would be continuing the story. This is due to some reasons. I am so lazy to type and also I think the continuation is really boring. The Malay and the story line are bad. Only that part(from the previous post) that I am confident about my writing. I would not want to show how bad I wrote it. Maybe if I feel like it then I would type it. Sorry guys..

There's nothing much happening this couple of days. I was really lazy to do my projects. I don't really know what's happenning with me. We just started our semester a couple of weeks ago and I already feel tired and lazy.. I don't really think it's because of the work load that our lecturers have been giving us. As far as I am concerned, the work load is not that heavy. I don't know... Maybe it's because of the weather(?).. haha I don't know..

Oh ya, I just recently surfed into one of our local website. There is a topic, in the Have Your Say section, that really interests me. It's about our country and it's people. Here is a part of what he said,

"Yup, Brunei shouldn't even exist in Borneo. Bruneians copycat everything what we malaysians think. They copy AF to be P2F, they copy our songs (but not lyrics) to be their songs such as the SEA games 1999 themes and many more, they copy our drama to be their drama, in short, Bruneians can't think for themselves. The least we Malaysians could do is "buy" Brunei and let Brunei be part of our great Malaysian society. I know that some of what he mentioned are true, but the facts that he said that Malaysians could 'buy' Brunei is out of line. Bruneians belong to Brunei. I don't really now what to say about his comments. It's just that Malaysia is ashame to have a Malaysian like Kumar. What's his problem with us Bruneian? Sanang-sanang kan mengucap kitani. It's up to us how we develop our country. Brunei Boleh!!! Oh ya about Malaysians being better looking than Bruneians. Prasanku I am more handsome than some of Malaysians artists. Haha nadawah just to cool myself down..

Hello!! Today I'm going to post a small part of my 'cerpen' in my blog. Anyway, Mastermind thank you for suggesting about that website to me. The only problem is that I think all the essays are in English but my 'cerpen' is in Malay. I could not write the compositions that I mentioned few days ago because I, somehow could not find the book.. Sorry.. But here is a very small part of my 'cerpen'..

Rizal sedang memerhatikan pasangan kekasih yang berjalan berpegangan tangan di tepi pantai. Alangkah indahnya hidup berpasangan ini, bisik hatinya. Ada tempat mengadu kasih, dapat meluahkan isi hati masing-masing tanpa segan silu. I love you.. I sayang you.. I cinta you.. dapat..

Tidak semena-mena, anak matanya terlihat seorang gadis yang sedang menyusuri tepi pantai. Rizal terus memerhatikan setiap langkah anak gadis itu. Gadis itu bermain dengan air pantai. Tiba-tiba gadis itu memberhentikan langkahnya dan terus memandang ke arah ombak yang sedang bergelora. Pandangan gadis itu sungguh tajam. Rizal masih lagi memerhatikan gadis tersebut. Apa seronoknya melihat ombak, bisik hati Rizal. Rizal cuba memandang ombak yang menarik perhatian gadis itu. Rupa-rupanya bunyi deburnya yang bagaikan menyanyi-menyanyi itu sungguh sedap di dengar. Lagunya sungguh mententeramkan jiwa. Tenang..

Gadis itu berpaling melihat ke arah Rizal. Anak mata mereka bertembung. Pandangan gadis itu sungguh mendalam.Gadis itu memberikan senyuman ke arah Rizal. Uuuhhh... wajah gadis itu sungguh cantik bagaikan bidadari yang baru turun dari langit. Rambutnya yang hitam lurus terurai ditiup angin menyerlahkan lagi kecantikkannya. Renungannya... aduhh... menusuk jiwa.. Jiwa bergelora bagaikan omabak.. Tiba-tiba gadis itu berpaling dan berlalu dari situ. Mahunya direnungnya wajah lembut gadis itu lebih lama. Bolehlah Rizal menikmati anugerah Tuhan kepada insan bernama perempuan.

So what do you think guys.. I wrote this 'cerpen', when I was in Form 4 or 5, if I'm not mistaken.. This cerpen is my first and my last that I wrote.. I am looking foward to your responses to this 'cerpen'. I'm not really sure whether I will continue this story or not. We'll see.. Thank You..

When I read other people's blog, they are usually about their every day life. They talk about what they do that particular day.. Well, I'm not going to follow that trend.. I was thinking about writing my views of a particular topic from newspapers, but then I have done it few days ago.. Why not I post a "cerpen" that I wrote few years ago. It is a malay one. When I read it once again I found it to be very terrible.. Should I do it? Why not.. But it would be in Malay and by parts because it is unsuitable to write it all at once. It'd be very long and boring.. Oh ya I have another idea. How about I write my old English compositions.. Just a try.. I won't change anything from the compositions and that includes the grammar and the flow of the story.. And I'd like your comment on those compositions.. Maybe I'll try tomorrow...

What do you think of marriage through online.. I just read a newspaper a couple of days ago regarding this. Apparently, if I still can remember, that this couple had been chatting through online for several months and never meet each other face to face. The guy who was around 5o+ years old married the lady, 50+ years old also through online. The weird thing is that the their marriage is 'disahkan' by the majlis ugama.. I don't quite remember how the vows were said.. Maybe, the guy just typed in "Aku terima nikahnya c ***** dengan mas kahwinnya $33 melalui kad kredit..." Haha... by the way both the groom and bride were malays and from Malaysia.. I guess that's what the technology and internet are all about.. Nothing is impossible. Even now a husband can also divorce his wife through sms(I mean there are cases about this, also in Malaysia and that involve artists).. What's going on with this world.. I think this shows how coward the guys are. They are afraid of getting lectured by their soon to be ex-wife or could not bear to see his wife sad.. but this is not professional(huh?).. Guys like that just bring shame to our guys society. Where are your ego and pride as a man? huh? apala... nadawah.. I still think this type of marriage or divorce in this sort of ways are "nda patut patut"..

I learnt two new words yesterday. Not really.. Actually, I knew those words already but I didn't really know what their actual meanings are or I got the meaning wrong. I think all of you know these words already. There are 'Mathemathics' and 'Science'. According to my lecturer, the actual meaning of Mathematics is 'learning'. I've always thought that maths have something to do with numbers and calculation because in when I learn maths it has always been numbers. What the heck... Science means 'knowledge'. Before I knew this meaning, science for me is just about chemistry, biology and physics.. Also, maths is a science.. well.. I was wrong.. Now I know the actual meaning..

20th UBD anniversary

Well, today is our UBD 20th anniversary celebration. Actually we're supposed to celebrate it on the 28th October(I think) last year but due to that that month was the month of Ramadhan, so the celebration could not be held.. At least we have a celebration for our uni's 20th anniversary. The celebration will continue for the whole week with some other events like funfair and bazaar.. Now I can get good and most importantly cheap food so I can safe some of my money.. Most of our friends got their allowance already. I'm not really sure about mine because I haven't checked it yet.. I think I'll wait for my money runs out.. be patient...

Oh Ya.. talking about the celebration, we actually have to be at the Chancellor Hall at around 8.30am.. Well, as usual I arrived early.. We gathered at the ICTC first. Everyone was at their best dress because of the celebration. The guys wore the formal dress as if we're lecturers. Some even wore blazers.. Some looked different from the way they dress during our lesson especially K***. Usually he wears t-shirt and jeans but just now he wore blazer and a tie. I just realised that, as my classmates said, he really looks like our lecturer, S** G***. So I took a picture where half of their faces in it. It's like a 2 in 1 picture.

After we had our lecture, I went to play some of the fun games that were held. My first game was to finish an ice cream within a certain time. It was embarrasing because I lost to a late 30s or early 40s year old lady. I played 8 games altogether and got consolation prizes from all of them..

okay, 2pau.. Just now you wanted me to update my blog. Here it is..

As usual i arrived at my uni at around 7.40am early in the morning. You know what happen? I accidently left my car key inside the ignition and lock it from outside (My car can only be locked from inside using the, I don't know what it's called,a "button"). The "button" that automatically lock the car from inside. I only had one key so I had to call my father to bring the spare key to me.. heheh... now I have to carefully remember to take out the key and put it safely in my pocket so that this incident will not happen again.. :)

Hello!! This is my second post in my 2 days old blog. What an achievement!! Haha.. Today is also my second day of the new semester... We're still in our 2nd day, but we're given a lot of projects already.. 3 projects(individual, pair and group work) so far. Aaahhh... also today a friend of mine ask me to design a website for their group. It's an information website. It's about Biodiversity Conservation Programme(BioCoP). Well, it's a good start for me. At least I have something that makes me to read my old notes... Oh ya, btw i take BSc Maths/Computer Science.. This is a training for me. Maybe in the future I'll become a Web Designer and get extra income from doing it.. Haha..

Tomorrow is Aidil Adha celebration. I'm gonna visit my uncle tomorrow to have the celebration..

This saturday is my uni's 20th anniversary. I'm not going to be a volunteer as I usually do when there is celebration or event that our uni have. This semester I'm going to try to focus only my study as my last semester's result is bad. I got D+ overall.. This is my first time I got D+ since I go to uni.. I think it is mainly because of me joining to many clubs or organisation.. Community Service & Students' Welfare, Choir Club, International Student Liaison Club, GMFS(our facultly's organisation), Heritage Club etc...

Just knew about blogging last year. It's so interesting reading people's blog, with different topics, views etc.. I was wondering how do they get those ideas of writing.. I have this problem with writing since I was small.. Never get to the standard of my academic level.. I have been trying to improve my English especially my writing but to no avail.. It's always very simple and childish-like.. And right now i'm in my second year undergraduate and I think my writing skill is not up to the standard to my university required.. What do you think the best way of improving writing skills? How do people get so much ideas in their essays?.. My lecturer once said that blogging could help.. How about you guys... Please give me some ideas and tips to improve my writing skills.. I think this is a good start for me..
